Allison Giuliano, M.A., LMHC, PMH-C
Director of AVIV PVD
Allison is a seasoned, licensed therapist who values authenticity and individuality in her therapy work. She knew early on that her calling was helping people and has created a well-rounded 15+ year career, having worked with people of all ages and gathering experience in almost every clinical setting possible. Especially passionate about working with creative folks (artists, musicians, etc.), college students, and women/moms, she loves outside-the-box approaches that tailor to clients’ individual needs and interests, like expressive arts and animal assisted therapy; she is also well-versed in more traditional approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, narrative therapy, etc.
Allison is certified in perinatal/postpartum mental health (PMH-C) and has experience working with folks with various challenges, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, psychosis, intellectual disabilities, trauma, autism, and substance use.
When not at work, Allison is a mom, singer/songwriter, photographer, beach bum, and can often be found in a boxing gym. She believes in the power of a good meme and that dogs are people too.

Morgan Johnston, MA, LMHC-A, MT-BC
Morgan Johnston (she/her) is a Mental Health Counselor Associate and Board-Certified Music Therapist who holds a master’s degree from Lesley University. With experience in outpatient, community, hospital, and school settings, Morgan takes a humanistic approach to therapy, seeing it as a collaborative process in which each person she works with is the expert on themselves. She embodies a balance of warmth and humor with depth and understanding in her relationships with those she works with. A believer in the “wounded healer” concept herself, she is passionate about working with young adults and adults with anxiety and depression, including those facing life transitions, academic stress, creative blocks, and women’s issues.
Morgan is driven to help those she works with to understand the roots of the issues they’re facing through psychodynamic and Mindful Self Compassion approaches. At the same time, she sees the value in building up one’s toolkit of coping skills to survive those difficult moments in the immediate through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy approaches. She often integrates expressive arts therapies of art, movement, writing, and music into talk therapy sessions to help others discover their own personal emotional languages along the way.
Ultimately, Morgan holds dear the statement by Michelangelo that the sculpture already exists within the block of stone and the sculptor merely needs to chip away at it. Let’s chip away together at the challenges you are facing to reveal the authentic self that already exists within you!
